Insurance Claim Process
A winter or summer storm can result in damage to residential roofing. If your home needs weather-related damage repair, we can provide it. However, you have to follow a roofing insurance claims process.
How do I get started?
The roof needs to be evaluated first. We need to assess the damages to ensure that there is enough damage to get the insurance company involved. A claim would then need to be filed.
Will the insurance company cover the damage?
It depends on your own coverage.
How do I file a claim?
The insurance process doesn't change from one company to the next. First and foremost, before you can file a claim, a roofing contractor would need to be contacted.
The roofing contractor will assess the damages and provide an estimate. It doesn't matter what roofing contractor you select; it is always up to you.
If the roof does cost more than the original quote, you can also file a supplemental claim. To help you file a claim more seamlessly, be sure to read the fine print of your insurance policy, with time, weather, and unexpected accidents your roof deteriorates.
